PERSONAL INJURY

Client retained The Villanueva Law Firm, LLC to file the necessary claims with the State Board of Workers Compensation and employer finally agreed to treat her injuries.

The Law Offices of D. Villanueva  successfully represented a client, plaintiff in a claim for wrongful conversion. The suit involved our client who shipped dry cleaning equipment to the defendant in hopes of obtaining a buyer. The defendant wrongfully converted the equipment to his own use possibly selling off the remaining parts and profiting from the unlawful sale. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE/ DRUG POSSESSION /LICENSE SUSPENSION

 

City of Snellville v. Gordon Citation No. 146284 The Law Offices of D. Villanueva successfully represented a Defendant in a drug possession case and was able to reduce her sentence to probation no jail time and conditional expungement from her record upon completion of probation.

State of Georgia v. Hamidi Case No. 10-CR-355947 The Law Offices of D. Villanueva successfully represented a Defendant in a drug possession case and was able to have the charges dismissed and expunged from his criminal record.

Epes v. Department of Drivers Services Docket No. OSAH-DDS-ALS-0933730-60. The Law Offices of D. Villanueva successfully represented a DUI Defendant in her administrative license suspension and was able to reverse the supsension allowing the Defendant to maintain her drivers license.

City of Sandy Springs v. Agerbeek The Law Offices of D. Villanueva successfuly represented a multiple count arrest for DUI. Defendant was a second time conviction and was facing 12 months without a license and an installation of an interlock device for 6 months. Despite over 10 pages of one of the worst driving records he's ever seen, Attorney Villanueva was able to successfully plead the merits of his case, his special circumstances with his work schedule, and child visitation. The Judge awarded the Defendant a restrictive drivers license thereby allowing Defendant to drive in Georgia. 

The Law Offices of D. Villanueva successfully represented a client, defendant in a license suspension dispute.  Client needed the license to be reinstated for work reasons. The Law Offices of D. Villanueva successfully represented a client, defendant in a DUI charge including possession of marijuana and failure to maintain lane and tag light. Attorney Villanueva was able through a suppression hearing suppress evidence of the field sobriety evaluation and the blood test result. The Solicitor agreed to drop the DUI charge. The Law Offices of D. Villanueva sucessfully represented a client, defendant in a drug possession charge including possession of marijuana. Attorney Villanueva was able to get the marijuana charge later dismissed. See State of Georgia v. Stevenson Case No. I0810315.

The Law Offices of D. Villanueva successfully represented a client, defendant in a multiple count DUI charge including criminal damage to property, leaving the scene of an accident, open container of alcohol, criminal damageto property 2nd degree, obstruction of law enforcement officer and expired tag. Attorney Villanueva was able through a series of hearings and motions suppress evidence only allowing the State to prosecute two out of the six offenses. Defendant for three years had Georgia Drivers License suspended and as a result could not apply for a job because of the suspension. Attorney Villanueva was able to obtain a Georgia Non Violator Compact and Reinstate Defendant's Drivers License in almost less than a month. State v. CIVIL LITIGATION

The Law Offices of D. Villanueva sucessfully represented a client who was wrongfully sued by a major credit card company for the amount of $6,154.68. After filing numerous motions and counterclaims by our office for violations of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the attorney for the major credit card company dismissed the case against our client. The Law Offices of D. Villanueva successfully represented a client who owed a major credit card company almost $20,414.94. Although the client owed the debt, Attorney Derick C. FAMILY LAW

The Law Offices of D. Villanueva successfully represented a client, petitioner in a contested child support modification action. The Law Offices of D. Villanueva successfully represented a client, plaintiff in a contested divorce action which involved a contested child custody hearing. During the course of the divorce proceeding, the child was secretly transported to the Defendant’s parent’s home in Miami, Florida. Attorney Villanueva was able to successfully file a contempt action and requested the court and was granted a temporary child custody order allowing the plaintiff client to travel to Florida with the assistance of Miami police to obtain the child from the Defendant’s parents home in Miami.
